Say it aloud loud: Band together, Seekers of Redemption! Indeed, it is a call to arms that resonates in this very moment before the Elden Ring community as players steel themselves for the assault upon the Nightlord in the newest DLC, Nightreign. FromSoftware’s cryptic tweet has caused the ruckus to go out of control with Gamers analyzing everything and speculating about grim possibilities held within the dark expansion.

The tweet reads, “Band together, Seekers of redemption. We’ll slay this Nightlord yet,” with a dark, moody image oozing an ancient-from-FromSoftware vibe- ominous, vague, disturbing atmosphere. There is no date, no information: only raw hype. And, really, that is all that is needed to throw the entire Elden Ring fanbase into a complete frenzy.

What is causing all the ruckus, though, are the replies. Some people have already started planning their tactics; Vinci9000 is asking for backup, “Need support, can’t fight this solo.” Others, including the ever-so-serious Tyler Swift, want solo scaling because, honestly, not everyone has friends willing to step into the Lands Between.

Then, there is the difficulty talk. At one stage in the thread, Asterian_Uno was dropping some knowledge that solos were hard but possible if you “team up first to get the hang of Nightreign’s mechanics“. Meanwhile, Miyazaki_god was flexing his cred by telling all that he would be going solo because, “all the others are noobs”. I’m saying, that is classic Soulsborne ego.

Now, having some drama about Elden Ring would never be complete without some slander. Gabielxdxd dropped in with some heat, dissing the DLC for being over-priced while accusing FromSoftware of becoming EA. Cold, really, right? But then, Leighroy92 came back hard, calling it “an experimental first foray into multiplayer” that was worth every dime. Man, the duality of gamers.

One thing for sure is that Nightreign is shaping up to be yet another punishing lore-filled adventure that shall either be a common-all-or-nothing experience or one that players will be screaming into the void about. Whether you are a lone wolf or like hanging out there for co-op, he waits there, the Nightlord. If the replies are anything to go by, the community is about ready.

Sharpen your blades and load up the flasks, as you’ll be dying a great many times. This Nightlord surely won’t be going down without a fight-the FromSoftware way-of course- and neither will you. Perhaps. Probably. Best wishes, Tarnished.
