Since the LTM 1v1 Arenas Apex Legends is new, we can quickly tell from the outcry that no one is shy about presenting their opinion on the subject. Of course, being a nice 1-1 opponent combat type of thing developed by Respawn, the community, well, let’s just say they gave it a rather mixed review, shall we, with a bit of salt for flavor!

It was conceived as a modern twist from the very beginning: you versus your opponent, no teammates to put blame, just your raw aim and movement. Cool in theory, isn’t it? But people began to find faults-run-the-gamut-immediately. At the top of the list came complaints: head glitches! Oh, the head glitches. If the term doesn’t ring a bell to you, it basically means that the offending player is sticking to their cover a bit too well, allowing their opponent to only see their head over the cover, yet they’re able to aim and shoot. And this mode? Well, it is apparently… very much head glitching.”

Another one, by the name of Rob (@SizingRob), dripping with sarcasm, called it also: “Have you hopped into the HEAD GLITCH SIMULATOR LTM yet? It’s the perfect place to test your skills and challenge others 😎” Oof. Certainly, not one of those Respawn would have wanted to see.

And lest you think that head glitches are the only problem, the loadout system is another bone of contention for some players: others are forced to deal with somewhat useless secondary weapons(Mozambique and P2020, anyone?), while others are ticked off at not being able to choose their own Legend. Oh come on. If I wanna run Octane and stim to victory, just let me.

And spawn camping is the curse of it. Multiple players have noted that some opponents stand inside spawn to pick you off once you make a move. One player, 2go (@2goApex), has even suggested putting in damage penalties for those who stay in spawn. Honestly? Not a bad idea.

And queue times? Well, different issue altogether. Some players like Dom (@Dom2Cracked_) really like the new mode but wish the matches were faster. Building that momentum is crucial between duels; waiting around just kills it, especially when you’re trying to grind.”

Not total hate. Some like the mode overall, like Prosess (@PR0SESS), but have their complaints, while the rest are begging for classic ranked Arenas to come back or 3 Strikes-favorite.

It is what came when Respawn listened back when Arenas went under its first big wave of changes on player complaints. They will likely do the same with this mode-whether that means changing spawns or tweaking loadouts or simply removing head glitch locations. We’ll just have to wait and see.

So jumping into 1v1 Arenas? The first thing you have to prepare for is some… creative gameplay. And prepare those shield batteries with all the salt you’ll gather.

So, yes, there is potential in the mode but is in dire need of some bug fixes. Will Respawn listen to player demands and implement changes? Only time can tell. What we do know is that Apex players don’t hold back with their criticism-this time louder than ever.
