One of the better additions for the PS4 recently has been Dreams. This game creation system has garnered a lot of attention right out of the gate. There are just so many things creators can do with the tools and resources that are included inside. You can create a mini-game, develop your own soundtrack, or just spend countless hours exploring other people’s creations. The options are limitless.

It just keeps getting better too thanks to consistent updates from the developer Media Molecule. Patch 2.08 is now available and with it, there are a lot of improvements and changes. One of the most notable is a Welcome Garden Character Pack. It includes two new playable characters and new enemies. A new Blanket Puppet is also available  Even the Dreamiverse also has received a major update. Now, you can use the directional buttons on your controller to navigate it. That should give rise to even more user-friendly experiences.

Other changes relate to general performance and audio. It’s great to see Media Molecule really dedicating a lot of their time to making this creation system even better. They don’t seem to be stopping any time soon, either. That should bring about even more incredible experiences, whether you’re creating novel content for others to enjoy or just browsing creations that have already been made.

Where Dreams really shines is its community support. There are so many areas you can visit that show you popular content that creators have made. The pages are updated quite frequently as well, so there is always something to look forward to. It’s also great that you don’t have to be an experienced designer to have fun with Dreams. Rather, you can just come in as a consumer and check out all of the incredible creations.

You may want to create a game one day and then put together a puzzle the next. Media Molecule has given you so many options. You’re really only limited by your imagination. As we move through 2020, you can bet that the system will only get better. Who knows what new features and systems are on the horizon? Dreams is so full of possibilities and will go down as one of the better systems for the PS4. Hopefully, it’s carried on over to the PS5 when it releases this holiday season.
