Developers from Studio MDHR spoke about selling a significant addon for the run-and-gun platformer on Twitter, thanking all the fans for their support.

The DLC is selling at a similar pace as the original game, hitting the million-copy mark in two weeks. However, Cuphead was not immediately released on all platforms and was only available on PC and Xbox at launch.

In honor of the one million copies of The Delicious Last Course, the team announced they had launched a drawing of three consoles – PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Players must follow Studio MDHR on Twitter to enter the contest and share the post.
When the draw results are summed up, it is not specified yet.

As the creators of Cuphead mentioned earlier, The Delicious Last Course will be the first and last expansion for the game. Initially, the studio considered the option of making the DLC a standalone release but felt that there was no point in doing so.

The release of the DLC has been delayed several times, including during the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, the addon came out four years after its announcement.

In a previous post The DLC rating on Metacritic is 91 out of 100, and the price on Steam is only. The Delicious Last Course for Cuphead was released on June 30, 2022, on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

The DLC adds another island to the game with several bosses; a playable character called the Golden Chalice with unique abilities and several additional skills and weapons.

The Delicious Last Course averaged a Metacritic score of 91 out of 100 from 14 reviewers.

According to the plot of the DLC, Cups and Mugs should help the Golden Cup regain its human form. To do this, the heroes must meet the chef Solonkin and deal with the enemies on the new island.

From the preview of The Delicious Last Course, which appeared in early June, it became known that the duration of the DLC will be 4-5 hours. It’s unclear how many bosses will be in the expansion.
