After a long wait, fans of the Call of Duty series will finally be playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta.
The beta version will be available for Xbox and PC (Microsoft Windows) as well as Sony’s PlayStation4. For the Xbox fans, getting the Modern Warfare beta is super easy – you need to download the beta client, and you’re good to go. The drill is pretty the same for the PS4 console.
However, for PC gamers, you need to make sure that your rig can play this power-hungry first-person shooter game smoothly. To prepare fans, Activision, the publisher has revealed the PC system requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta. This is alongside graphics options as well as keyboard/mouse options and other general settings.

As usual, there are the minimum specifications and the recommended specifications.
Minimum PC Requirements
To play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta, you will need to at least have a DirectX 12 compatible system running on 64 Bit Windows 7 (SP1) or Windows 10 (1709 or later).
For the processor, the minimum is an Intel® Core™ i5-2500K or its AMD equivalent, probably an AMD FX 8350. As a GPU-intensive title, Modern Warfare beta requires at least an Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 2GB/GTX 1650 4GB or an AMD Radeon HD 7950 GPU. You will also need at least 8GB RAM and 45GB disk space alongside a DirectX compatible sound system.
Recommended PC Requirements
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta is for DirectX 12 compatible systems as well, but the OS requirements are a bit tight. Activision recommends the 64 Bit Windows 10 with the latest Service Pack.
When it comes to the processor, you need an Intel® Core™ i7-4770K Processor or the AMD equivalent. As for the graphics, the recommended GPU is either an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB / GTX 1660 6GB or the AMD Radeon R9 390 / AMD RX 580. The rig should also tag along a 16GB RAM and 45GB disk space.
Activision also shed more light on the different graphics options you have when playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta. These include the display mode, details and textures, shadow & lighting, and post-processing effects.
There are also several mouse and keyboard options that allow you to adjust your mouse and movement, acceleration, and even sensitivity. As for the keyboard, the publisher also shared how you can reconfigure the keys.
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta is scheduled for release starting September 19, 10 AM PT to September 20, 6 PM PT. There will be another phase from September 20, 6 PM PT to September 23, 10 AM PT.
