Today, this batch of goodies is being loaded into the Fortnite Item Shop; fingers are thrown about on what was not put up. The latest drop sees the return of fan-favorite Star Wars skins: Rey, Finn, and Zorii Bliss, along with new emotes from Surf Curse and St. Vincent. But the bigger surprise: Kylo Ren is nowhere to be found, as the gaming community would rather expect.
This update sees the major ones, Rey, Finn, Zorii Bliss back in the shop, giving Star Wars fans yet another opportunity to grab the iconic characters. The two brand-new emotes, Surf Curse and St. Vincent, are also making their debut, hence some new dances for your locker. Then if you were looking to see some old wraps such as Nike Goddess, well, today’s your lucky day-two years since they made the initial exit.
What makes things ugly is the absence of Kylo Ren, probably the most wanted Star Wars skin. The calls for Kylo Ren flooded the replies to the announcements tweet, one shouting, “WHERE THE FUCK IS KYLO BRO IM GONNA CRASHHHH,” while another just asks, “when is kylo ren?” The demands are real; Epic’s silence only brews more trouble.
Though, equally happy are many of them. The return of Sith Trooper is something some players seem psyched about, with one commenting, “gonna have to pick up sith trooper ngl.” Another is loving the new dances and has named the Surf Curse emote “so good”. But that is as far as the love goes; another plainly said, “2 new emotes fucking suck.” So much for pleasing everyone.
The real talk about Mandalorian: Some of these players still have hope for Beskar Armor to join the shop while others are quite sure of it never coming back. One joked about it: “My vbucks are so safe 🙏🏽,” insinuating what is being offered just isn’t worth spending on. Honestly, they cannot stop reminiscing about the Terminator hype generation as one respondent begged, “We just need terminator now😮💨,” because, literally, the list for crossover partnerships seems endless.
The bigger problem, though? Some players feel the Item Shop just lost its spark. A scathing gamer wrote in a tweet, “These shops are so ass at this point it gets to the point when the item shop is not even worth checking.” Ouch. One called it “another let down,” while a third lamented old original sets, saying, “just recycling old.”
