Alright, hold tight gamers! After two months of hiatus, Lara Croft is BACK in Fortnite, and now the internet is with one voice in dissent. The famous Tomb Raider girl has entered the Item Shop again, and players are trying to grab her before she is locked away in the vault once more.
News of the arrival of Lara Croft was brought to the world by famous Fortnite leaker and insider, HYPEX. And in case you want to do something nice for HYPEX (because the man is a legend) go ahead and type in his code, “HYPEX,” when buying her.
As with any major update in Fortnite, the reactions were mixed. Some are on cloud nine, like Umi The Whale, who thundered the statement, “THANK YOU FOR SAYING 2 MONTHS ALL THE TALK ABOUT 400 DAYS AND STUFF HAS BEEN PMOING.” On the other hand, though, some seemed less impressed. Just2red YouTube chimed in with a casual, “Cool skin but I don’t want it.” Then was the Carlos himself, Alex Sanders: “I rather get the original.” Ouch.
Then there was drama of sorts. Some players began wondering why Epic would go ahead and drop this skin while Battle Royale (the mode in which wraps are currently disabled) is still in chaos. But, as Emmanuel… comprehends, “You can play Reload, OG, Ballistic, etc. Just because BR doesn’t have wraps right now doesn’t mean they can’t sell them for players who enjoy other modes.” Fair point.
And then come the conspiracy theories. Bennjipie just came out with that cold truth: “A business wants…profit?!?!?!?!?!” Shocking, isn’t it? Quickly thereafter, King Diamond added: “It was supposed to release ages ago its been in the files the whole time.” Classic Fortnite.
Hold on, there is more! While Lara Croft is stealing the limelight, players are asking with bated breath for more skins. Aryan Tomar: “Is Ash Williams ever coming back he was updated so long ago Sarah Connor was updated even before him.” Then, comicnerd wants Gohan, and Aurorafruit is waiting on Street Fighter. The demands keep going.
Par exemple, LCBGaming, with their French roast, dubbed it “Boutique de merde.” That translates to “Trash shop.” Pretty strong words, but opinions are like emotes-there’s one for everybody.
