A jitney update has just been made by Bungie into Destiny 2’s Rite of the Nine dungeon rotation, which has caused a lot of opinions from the community. The new scheduling makes it so Guardians get their specific ample windows to dive into Ghosts of the Deep, Prophecy, and then all dungeons at once. As usual, the community reacts with a mixed bag of hype, confusion, and chaos.

Ghosts of the Deep runs from May 20 to June 3, Prophecy from June 3 to June 17, and BAM: all dungeon unlocks from June 17 to July 14. What an advantage for people who are hunting drops in all honesty, or who may have missed earlier rotations. Some will be unhappy about it, of course.

Others have been saying, “Thank God for that!” Bryan Zelitt says he’ll be going on an 8-week vacation during June, so having those dungeons open for such a long time means he won’t be missing out on getting those sweet, sweet weapons. Some folks just don’t have any patience for the nonsense. Trick Shot Ernie fired back at an opinion that has it that two weeks per dungeon was sufficient—a reason not to drag this out for the casuals who can’t no-life the grind.

Now, some very… colorful reactions started rolling in. One player (unnamed, thankfully) expressed his fury with Bungie by suggesting they “buy cars for 2mil dollars peasants.” Yeah. That went down. Other discussions started on cheaters, patches for the PS5 Pro, and if Bungie is secretly hacking Destiny money for their forthcoming Marathon project. (Spoiler: Probably not, but try telling that to the conspiracy theorists.)

Let’s not forget the classic Destiny debate—effort vs. reward. IvyDoomsday went the keyboard warrior route to take down the players complaining about having to, you know, play actually arduous activities for decent rewards. “Boo hoo you need to EARN adept drops before farming them effortlessly.” That one packed a punch. Tell us how you really feel.

There’s also the ongoing “did Bungie edit the tweet?” drama. Some players swear the original post had different dates, but since it’s an org-verified account, you wouldn’t know whether it was an edit. Enter conspiracy theories.

At the end of the day, Bungie is trying to thread accessibility with FOMO, and as always, some are happy, some are not. Some are ecstatic that they’re finally going to get all dungeons go all at once. Others are already exhausted from grinding. And then there are others just waiting and wishing for that PS5 Pro patch.

So set some reminders for yourself, Guardians. Whether you are there for the loot, the challenge, or to trash-talk Bungie on Twitter, the dungeons are ready to greet you. Just might want to mute the replies first.
