The most recent cosmetics pack for Fortnite takes direct aim at those who have said the game has reached the end of its life cycle. It is written on the turtleneck itself.

The Checkered Past Pack was announced with a teaser the previous week. It provides players with a new wardrobe with an olive and checkered motif. In addition, this arms packaging has notches and straps, a harvesting tool that looks like a cane (perhaps making a statement on the age of the game), a skull and bones with the checker-marked pattern, and 600 V-bucks.

However, the clothing appears to be Epic’s retort to players who have said that Fortnite is a terrible game. The words “Fortnite Is Not Dead” are stitched across the chest of a trendy tanktop with a turtleneck.

Most of the replies to Epic’s tease of the Checkered Past Pack a week ago were about how the death of a game Fortnite was, and Epic itself dared gamers to ratio each other with the pack’s cosmetics to prove their point. However, one participant in the esports community reacted to yesterday’s release with what can only be described as an innovative proposal.

If you are interested in Fortnite’s penchant for intellectual property tie-ins, the most recent leak suggests that there will be a new Luke Skywalker outfit. A prolific Fortnite leaker by the name of HypeX stated that there would be some Star Wars-related tasks coming to this season and Lightsabers from A New Hope and Return of the Jedi, all of which point to Luke coming this season.

Some viewers are even under the impression that Luke was shown in the trailer for Season 4, which featured a Jedi floating in a bacta tank. If this is indeed the case, Luke would be joining Finn, Rey, Kylo Ren, the Mandalorian, and several other Star Wars trooper uniforms.
