Blizzard has returned this month with another week of the Darkmoon Faire! The event is active in the retail version of World of Warcraft once again, on the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands prepatch client. \n \nThe changes being discussed here do not apply to the version of the event in the World of Warcraft: Classic servers! While technically the same game, the differences are vast, and the Darkmoon Faire between the two is nearly unrecognizable. \n \nThis event happens every month, so what has Blizzard done to make this month's important at all? There are quite a few things actually, if for no other reason than for the simple fact that this is the last time the event will occur before the release of the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands expansion on November 23rd. \n \nTaking place this week, starting today and ending November 7th, the Darkmoon Faire provides plenty of buffs and collectibles. It's a wonderful time to be leveling a toon, as the 10% experience buff stacks with the current 16% Anniversary celebration buff. \n \nBut there are a few changes that we have to discuss! Blizzard has made a few alterations for this final pre-Shadowlands Darkmoon Faire, slightly changing the way that players will be interacting with the event. \n \nhttps:\/\/twitter.com\/Wowhead\/status\/1322946944650539011?s=20 \n \nPreviously, a 75-skill requirement was needed to allow access to the Darkmoon Faire profession quests, which gave unique rewards and increased one's skill level in the respective profession. Now, Blizzard has removed that skill requirement! \n \nThis means that players will be able to acquire and complete these quests by only being trained in the lowest level of a profession, granting immediate access. This makes it so that the quests are easier to access, especially for alts. \n \nThere's been no change to the reputation buff provided from the expansion, so you can still grab the 10% increase along with your 10% increase to experience gained. However, this will be mostly helpful if you're trying to grind out a few old reputations. \n \nIf you're aiming to get reputation for the requirements to unlock an allied race, don't worry! Blizzard removed these requirements with the Shadowlands prepatch, making it so that the questlines appropriate for each are all you need. \n \nWith the professional skill requirement removed, players will be able to complete a bit more content on their characters regardless of the skill level said character may have in a profession. If you've been waiting to level an alt, few times would be better than now!
