Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning was one of the better action RPGs to debut in 2012. It is one of the more in-depth titles in this genre you can find today, in fact. It features an intense and deep combat system as well as an incredibly massive world to explore.

The game has now been out for eight long years. In that time, it has gone on to achieve rave reviews. It’s about to get even better too thanks to a remastered version that’s currently in the works. It was previously reported of coming out in August, but that’s no longer true according to the most recent cinematic trailer.

It reveals a September release date. That’s a month longer than originally expected, but considering how great of an experience Kingdoms of Amalur already is, the remake will be well worth the wait.

Fans can expect much better visuals, better performance, and new features that give players adequate content to look forward to. It was also revealed that there will be a brand-new expansion available titled Fatesworn.

Not many details are known at the moment about this expansion, but it’s still a great aspect of this remaster that gives returning players all the more reason to check out this RPG again.

The remastered version also includes the original DLC, including Legend of Dead Kel and Teeth of Naros. If you’re checking out Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning for the first time, then you have a lot of content to keep you busy.

In fact, there are over 100 hours of gameplay to check out — whether you’re using melee attacks to take out menacing enemies or exploring the dark dungeons of the Brigand Hall Caverns.

When you’re not fighting or exploring, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to enhance your character. The longer you play, the more ways you’ll be able to customize your skills to suit your playstyle. All of this is possible thanks to the game’s Destiny system.

There are also so many ways to change your character’s looks, including the pieces of armor and weapons you take with you in battle. All in all, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a fantastic RPG and the remake has the potential to be even better.
