Sony and Naughty Dog have just released one of the last big exclusives for the PlayStation 4 in The Last of Us Part II.

While critics have raved about the game, users have been bombing Metacritic with terrible reviews. Critic scores are 95/100 while user ratings tanked the game at just 3.5/10.

However, the game is sure to be a major financial hit for Sony, following on the heels of other massive exclusives, such as God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and preceding Ghost of Tsushima, which releases next month.

Some of Sony’s other major exclusive studios tweeted out their congratulations for the team over at Naughty Dog. These tweets included some truly amazing crossover fan art.

Cory Barlog, the director of 2018’s God of War, has tweeted in the past about his excitement for The Last of Us Part II. He sent out an awesome bit of fanart that shows characters from The Last of Us Part 2 standing with Kratos, the God of War, and his son Atreus.

“I will never have friends like the ones I have with PlayStation,” Barlog said in the tweet. “Huzzah my Naughty Dog friends! What you have done is nothing short of astonishing. It made me tense, anxious, excited, sad, and jealous I didn’t make it.”

Another image was shared by the team at Sucker Punch Productions, who are hard at work making Ghost of Tsushima, which releases on July 17. They tweeted out a piece of fan art showing Ellie from The Last of Us Part 2 playing her guitar while the Ghost from Ghost of Tsushima plays a flute.

“A gigantic and well-deserved congratulations to our friends at Naughty Dog on the launch of The Last of Us Part II today,” they said in the tweet. “We can’t wait to play all weekend!”

Another image was tweeted out by Bend Studio, who created the third person zombie game Day’s Gone. Their image shows Deacon, the protagonist of Days Gone, trying to hitchhike on the street as Ellie passes by on horseback.

“Congratulations to all of our friends over at Naughty Dog on the long awaited release of The Last of Us Part II,” the studio said in their tweet. “Mind if we hitch a ride?”

The Last of Us Part II was originally slated to arrive on the PlayStation 4 back in February. However, production woes hit the project and it was pushed back into May. Then, the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world and that pushed production back another month, eventually settling on a final release date of June 19.
