PlayStation has featured a fantastic God of War: Ragnarök Kratos cosplay. Since Kratos’ reinterpretation in 2018’s God of War was met with such positive reception, many gamers have been waiting patiently for the next chapter in the demi-story. As a result, God’s Fans have gone to the internet in anticipation of the release of God of War: Ragnarök later this year, with some going as far as to recreate Kratos’s beard out of cheap steel wool.
This year’s God of War was a bold departure from the series’ usual formula, and it was a lot of fun to play. The most striking change in God of War was its departure from its Greek origins and transition to the milder temperatures of the Norse pantheon, along with the taming of Kratos’ fury with the introduction of his son Atreus and the radical break from the series in terms of gameplay.
Like its Mediterranean equivalent, Norse mythology was full of mighty deities and fantastic animals for Kratos to vanquish. The veteran gamers were treated to a dangerous Midgard zoo, with Draugr, trolls, and even the magnificent Valkyries. It’s no surprise that fans have tried their hand at portraying Kratos and the rest of the God of War cast, including the beautiful God of War Valkyries Hildr and Gunnr, thanks to the series’ ability to spark imaginations and creativity.
Not long ago, PlayStation tweeted their approval of another excellent costume. LadySorrow68, a cosplayer and fitness enthusiast, has created an incredible gender-bent version of Kratos, the protagonist of God of War: Ragnarök. LadySorrow68’s take on the Ghost of Sparta is excellent; the warpaint is spot on, and the leather chest piece and shoulder pauldron have given a gritty new look.
The most impressive detail is the exquisite Leviathan Axe, which faithfully recreates Kratos’ actual weapon down to the last etching on the handle and rune holes at the haft’s tip.
