Are you guys sure this is information for Overwatch 2 players–Sixteen will shake things with the new Stadium mode, and Blizzard was just nice enough to drop some spicy, pre-put-together builds down so you can just jump right into it? The official Overwatch Twitter account teased the incoming content in a hype post that was showing the recommended loadouts for Ana, Ashe, Cassidy, and D.Va. Let’s face it; whenever so many things are in the air, a starting point is just reasonable.
That tweet is just alive (with a sprinkle of Overwatch joy), building the hype and providing players with hints toward optimized builds before the Stadium begins on April 22. Forget stumped about what works; Blizzard is handing out cheat sheets like a loot box on meth. The memo itself runs through the setups fairly quickly, so you’re not walking into the new mode blind.
So what are we talking about-Stadium mode might be a wild and chaotic playground of abilities, items, and if you have played Overwatch, utterly confusing chaos. One wrong pick might have your Ana throwing candy instead of healing darts (OK, I exaggerated a bit, but you get me). Those pre-made builds are training wheels for madness.
What is really interesting is Blizzard did not simply drop the information and wash their hands of it. Framed as a way to start before the players go test out any of their crazy combos. A neat opportunity, really. Let them have a bit of fun on that day, but not let it go entirely berserk on day one.
And, hey, no comments are a little wild. The Overwatch community is usually loud in excitement, disgruntledness, or meme-ing. Either everyone’s busy making that big crazy decision on builds or are just waiting to see if these recommendations hold up or not. Regardless, that quiet makes one wonder.
So mark your calendars: April 22nd, Stadium. If ever there was a day to hit the ground running (or rolling, depending on your perspective of D.Va), it would be on these builds for a ticket to nirvana. But the true question remains: Will anyone follow these builds if at all? Or will one thousand cursed loadouts spring into life at the same time? Only time shall tell.
Until then, stay tuned for more updates; we know how much Blizzard likes to pull surprises at the last minute. If indications of the past are anything to go by, Season 16 is going to be mad; built or not.
Time to be hyped or de-hyped. Either way, chaos is crashing in.
