A new cosplay from the video game Legend of Zelda showcases the blue ballgown worn by the game’s princess. Zelda cosplays in the past have affected fans by using elements like magical regalia. The franchise is well-known for its diverse aesthetics, providing cosplayers with a wealth of material from which to draw inspiration.

Breath of the Wild is where we first see Zelda in her blue, royal attire, which she wears in several flashbacks in and around Hyrule Castle. Zelda’s attire is blue, like that of Link and the other Champions, signifying her high position. All eyes were on the princess, and she felt the weight of the high expectations of her day.

Understandably, Zelda would feel more comfortable in her much less formal traveling costume when outside of the castle, with King Rhoam putting so much pressure on her to release her divine powers. However, a consistent shade of blue serves to unite everyone fighting against Ganon in BOTW visually and, interestingly enough, bears a striking resemblance to the pattern on Link’s pajamas in Wind Waker.

Now, thanks to cosplayer daily, Zelda’s royal gown is brought to life in a stunning Reddit-posted cosplay. Aleta claims that there are more than a thousand unique beads in the cosplay, making its fabrication tedious and painstaking. However, fans should not worry; daily has stated that the process was fun and they liked making this garment.

The image was captured by the Instagram user and photographer Lewandowsky photography, who deserves credit for the picture’s stunning composition. Zelda appears in a courtyard, which could be part of Hyrule Castle based on the game’s setting. The overall effect is that this Zelda enthusiast has made flawless cosplay.
