NBA 2K finally revealed Season 8 for NBA 2K25, and the reactions from the players have mostly been less than acrobatic. The schedule was luring the community between excitement and frustration, as the season pass would allow you to claim 40 premium rewards and four automatic unlocks for free if you had upgraded it.
The official, 2K, were hyping the rewards when Twitter replies were swiftly sprinkled with content-specific complaints. One across all seasons, @slimmcutta36, almost arranged to yell out: “We waited all year for this??? More overalls and dinosaurs??? This ain’t it 2K.” A similar opinion was held by @PimpNotSimp, “dinosaurs and bodysuits what happened to the game i love 💔🥀.”
The crux of their complaint is that the rewards remain recycled. @PythoiiTwitch called them a “pitiful season pass,” adding, “nothing received was meaningful this year.” The problem is not just on the items-it is also about tiem. @JackinMyCactus made a clear statement: “It’s almost July ðŸ˜,” referring to the fact that in 2K26 coming soon, the life span of this game is about to run down.
Oh, and things go even messier.-@LEDBreezey wants 2K to let them capitalize on missed cap breakers from past years, which stirred up more debates in the following replies. @toxiclunchb0x replied, “Ya’ll had 9 months… You deciding to play Fortnite for 9 months and asking for rewards 3 months before the new version ain’t one of them.” Oof. Amidst all these chaotic events, players are still grinding. @RyanO2524 went, “Can we at least get 8 cap breakers at level 40 since it’s the last season?” That’s a fair request, but seeing 2K’s history, I’m not so sure.
