Capcom has just blessed the players of Monster Hunter Wilds with spicy news: Title Update 2 brings back Lagiacrus and Seregios, to be rolled out on June 30th! It sent chills down the community; some were excited, others… well, not so much.

Let the monsters be the first thing to discuss. Lagiacrus is back from the pits of nautika, thunder and all, to shake the battlegrounds with mesmerising thunder. Seregios, with his razor wings of dread and terrible intent, flies in from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Truly the two most beloved monsters are making their way into the Wilds roster as the hunters prepare the best equipment for the hunt.

Well, not everyone could grin about it. Some gave the update a side eye and said it’s just returning old monsters instead of fresh content. One player even asked, “Do you all want this game to die?” Ouch! Others pointed at the three-month gap between updates, wondering aloud about Capcom’s live-service approach. And every now and again, though, other hunters just get happy to see Lagiacrus again: A tweet simply read, “Lagia is back 😍.”

Chaos when it comes to gear upgrades. One player joked, “I just fixed my gear and now they drop this chaos 😩.” Classic Monster Hunter stuff: hours spent optimizing your build, and the next day the devs release new content that completely makes you reconsider your options.

Not all were Monster Hunter related, to be fair. Others saw a window and demanded Metal Gear Rising for PS5 (Konami, are you listening?), while another party pleaded for a Ratchet & Clank collection. Then came the token crypto bros advertising Bitcoin streams. Because, why not?

All that aside, I tell you, the Game definitely is not losing steam. Whether you are pumped about the upcoming beasts or not inclined to trust the update tempo, the 30th of June should amount to another enormous day for the hunters. So sharpen those blades! Get your potions stocked! Because Lagiacrus and Seregios aren’t going to hunt themselves.

And meanwhile, if you are undecided, rest assured that the haters will probably be there on day one trying to see what’s up. The Monster Hunter way: complain, then grind. Rinse and repeat.
