There are rumors of animation based on Netflix’s hit series Squid Game coming into the battle royale, any-how enter the views. Whereas views of this emote are diverse, in its favor we have too many kids hyping it, but on the contrary, there is plain confusion and hatred existing for it. Classic Fortnite drama, there you go!
The first spark came from the tweet of II’agentShadow-II presenting what was alleged to be an animation or a gesture inspired by the infamous “Red Light, Green Light” from the series. The replies are as chaotic as one might imagine. One player, @StoticClown, latched onto the chaos for some positive nostalgic feelings, as he grew up playing games along those lines. Meanwhile, the other, @robertk82428978, is just thoroughly confused about all the Squid Game hype. Well, maybe not everyone is into death masked cleverly as dystopian child’s play.
Now the real question: Free or what? @redskins6652 asked flatly, and I repeat that. I mean, emotes usually cost V-Bucks, but considering how ridiculously massive Squid Game was, the question really shoots toward whether Epic would just give it away for free as a challenge or something. Or, as @SODYPOP232 speculates, maybe it’ll be tied to the Reload map. Either way, I can see it now: filling up every single Party Royale server until they choke.
Afterward, discuss skins; @hedhehrh calls the default skins dumb, which is fair, but, then again, have you looked at some of the collab skins? Meanwhile, @WheatWunderluck is over here fantasizing about a “strung-out 90-pound junkie” for a skin, so honestly, Squid Game emotes seem like a pretty good sign of what we shouldn’t worry about.
