In a few simple lines, Capcom has been fed pretty well with a light update. I count this as the main reason for Monster Hunter Wilds players to take the free loot. The Sakura Felyne Teddy pendant–yes, that cute little thing–can now be claimed via a new method, and hunters best get moving if they want it.
The seasonal cosmetic was obtained typically through the Special Daily Bonus, and now? Nope. Access the Support Desk in the base camp, select “Claim Content,” and snag them. Simple, but hey, better than missing out because you forgot to log in one day, right?
Timing, timing. The Special Daily Bonus itself must be claimed by Tuesday, May 6, at 4:59 PM PDT (Wednesday, May 7, at 00:59 BST). But the actual pendant? It has a much longer shelf life: It can be grabbed until Tuesday, May 20, at 5:00 PM PDT (or Wednesday, May 21, at 01:00 BST). So if you have been slacking to this point, there is still a bit of time, but not too much.
A little surprisingly, no responses on the tweet yet. Usually, all these things get Monster Hunter fans riled up in either cheers or complaints about the slightest changes. Or maybe they’re just too busy actually hunting to type. Or maybe they’re cool with it? Any which way, if you’re into free cosmetics (and who isn’t?), do not sleep on this one.
It also had an illustration depicting how to redeem other items for the duration of the event, a good thing for those types who skip the tutorials and get lost five minutes after. Pro tip: do not be that hunter.
So you log in, visit the Support Desk, and claim your goodies. Then, gets back to slaying monsters because that is really why we are here, right? Happy hunting, may your loot drops be ever in your favor.
