Monster Hunter fans, grab the controllers, for Capcom has made big announcements, and the hype is on! In a confirmation tweet sent out by the official Monster Hunter Twitter, Guild Weekend made its debut, followed by word of two big events on the way. If, on top of their hard work in hunts, the hunter wants to put it even more into overdrive, buckle up because things are about to get crazy.

To start things off… With a Guild Weekend approved, hunters can bunch up, take down a couple of monsters, and reap the juicy rewards for a job well done. Mentioned in the tweet, nothing is said about the bonuses being in effect now, but with the Guild Weekend being sanctioned by Capcom, one can truly expect great things.

Extra materials? Increased drop rates? Layered armor? Could be all of the above. We will have to wait and see, but one thing is sure: sharpen those blades and fill those pockets with potions.

But wait, there is more. The tweet has teased two huge events awaiting roll-out. First seasonal event of 2023: Festival of Accord: Blossomdance starts next week. Expect pretty decorations, some temporary quests from what past festivals have shown, and probably some new shiny gear to show off in the hub.

Seasonal events in Monster Hunter always up the fun meter for whatever new challenges come with a fresh look for those deadly hunts. Will blossom armor be in the game? New Palico style? The speculation is endless, and of course, the community has gone into overdrive.

And then there is the boom that will be Arch-Tempered Rey Dau, strutting into town on April 30, hot and thunderous. If you have slain the monster from some of his mucho brutales, it commands respect—but, Arch Tempered?

That’s an entirely different magnitude of pain. AT monsters usually sport some fresh and twisted moves: intense damage and almost-gold-tier loot in the game. Rey Dau hits like a truck; now, hunters will be sweating it out with an ultra-extreme version. Time to finesse those dodges, just saying.

The tweet itself didn’t give too many insights, but there was an image attached—the sins of not being able to see it aside—that may have hinted at things to come. Blossomdance decorations? Up-close and personal terrifying wrath from Arch-Tempered Rey Dau’s electricity? Either way, the anticipation trickles from such curt hints from trm.

What is interesting this time around is the charmed timing. Generally speaking, Guild Weekends get triggered by Capcom when an interference is to be granted; they cleverly placed this on the eve of two massive events. “Get Your Squad Ready Now, Because Next Week Is Gonna Be Serious Chaos:” that’s actually what it boils down to. And we ain’t complaining.

There have not been many responses yet, but give it a couple hours. The Monster Hunter community is, bar none, other than the most badass of any gaming community out there; now that it’s out in front of them, hunters will start blasting down the meme train, theory train, and hype train down the fast tracks. Some are probably building their setups for AT Rey Dau, while others will speculate hardcore about what lies ahead in Blossomdance.
