Mojang tossed in a tremendous surprise for Minecraft players by releasing a new music disc called Lava Chicken and a Dennis painting for the Minecraft Movie now streaming on Max. And gosh, the Internet went apache on it.

The Lava Chicken music disc is basically as good as what its name suggests-a good track, somehow managing some funky beats paired with the chilling noises of a chicken jockey falling into a pool of lava. Java Edition players get the disc immediately, while the Bedrock players will have to wait a little longer. And in the meantime, Dennis (yes, that Dennis from the movie) painting just came into existence on both platforms.

Here’s the thing-not all are for this update. The players are basically puzzled-someone even tweeted, “What is Minecraft even about man?”, while others are out there killing chicken jockeys to get that luscious disc playing on a loop. YouTube Gaming’s Twitter handle also jumped on the bandwagon to tweet, “la-la-la-lava, ch-ch-ch-chicken πŸ—πŸŒ‹”.

Now, speaking of reactions to the Minecraft Movie… well, one player called it “so bums,” while another begged Mojang to “just forget it ever happened.” Sheesh. The new in-game goodies, on the other hand, passed well with all, just as El Minehuy called the disc for “πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯” and the painting “a delight.”

So, how do you get the disc? The answers say: kill a chicken jockey (RIP, lil’ dude). And if from hereon you really wonder what such a thing is for-being confused with Hyper Potions-the gang behind the Sonic Mania soundtrack-is proof it has to slap so hard.

Meanwhile, some players are still waiting on the bigger updates (cough End Update cough), while some are just glad to get anything at all from Mojang. As if the disc was something to boast about playing in front of house guests? Just kidding there.

So, there you go-Minecraft is all over the place with chaotic chickens, questionable movie tie-ins, and paintings of some guy named Dennis. And honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way. Excuse us while we nab some jockeys. πŸ”πŸ”₯

(By the way, if you’re wondering what Max is… It’s the HBO streaming service, not that Max. The other one. Yeah, confusing.)
