With the new Realms Plus update, Minecraft is letting players “Chase the Skies,” complete with happy ghasts and abundant Visuals. Skybuilds, breathtaking sunsets, and 10-player multiplayer join the nightclub of entertainment on this ever-online server. Although this announcement surely raised some eyebrows and instilled enthusiasm, some people are expressing reports of heavy bugs and frustrations.

The buildings introduced into the new Realms Plus catalog meant that vibrations Visuals update could now bring good lighting and more colors for beautiful sunsets and a living atmosphere. Then the happy ghasts were introduced—players can now fly around and make them race through the skies! Right? Well, the experience has not been smooth for all.

Immediately at the launch of the update, the answer section got filled with complaints. Login issues took the front seat. One account said: GamingBun22 said, “I can’t login in my realms now for 24 hours! It’s not my connection or pc cuz other players can’t login either 😢.” There are other issues, too, like with inviting friends, said SLEEZZY, and NANDO_X18 complained of severe lag after the updates: “My device is fine, but after the latest update when I have a happy ghast my game slows down, mobs and blocks fall slowly 😔😔.”

Then, there were compatibility issues. Multiple users including rilsley409 and JorgeBarajas_99 noted that Vibrant Visuals does not or will not in the future work with certain platforms and existing texture packs. Daniella M said, “Vibrant visuals does not load in my already existing realm. I’ve tried about everything. it’s pretty frustrating not being able to access new features.” And if you’re on a Nintendo Switch? Tough luck – Lamooshka77 described it as ridiculous that this update is available on iPhone but not Switch.

So, it’s just no show in performance and progress. Some even lost—they said outright. Guizzyn_Santtos shared a heartbreaking story: “I just updated my Minecraft to the latest update, and when I entered my world my numbered days were lost. Almost a thousand days played. 😭” Then Devil_might_cry said, perhaps half-joking, that his happy ghast “only goes backwards.”

While calamity unfolds, some players are optimistic about it. watersoda applauded developers: “Notices the vibrant visuals, good first step, hopefully, in the near future we see even more graphics updates.” MifeeVivid is looking forward to a relaxing trip on the Happy Ghast as a break from Elytra chaos.

So, what now? Some of the fixes might already be in the pipeline. Stinky’s reply to a bug has been “That will be fixed in 1.21.100! (I’m not kidding, check the Minecraft preview changelogs).” So, for a while, it’s excitement and frustration for some, while certain players are diving deep into the new features, and others have turned off Vibrant Visuals until an assurance.

Mojang makes updates that eventually get polished, hopefully, these roadblocks are the last ones. Now, if you’ll be going in and out of Realms Plus for some fun, a few hiccups are to be expected; at least I’ll wish you well with a ghast that can only fly backward.
