The developer has put so much detail into this project that it’s inspiring in a lot of ways. A perfect example is the weather system, which will utilize real-world weather data. The amount of time it probably took to achieve this is downright impressive.

And finally, Microsoft Flight Simulator is about to release to the masses. The release date is August 18, which is just a couple of weeks away. Needless to say, flight simulation enthusiasts are excited to get their hands on the entire package.

The game has shown a ton of promise in many departments, including the possible VR support. Imagine being in the cockpit of a plane seeing all of the beautiful details outside the window like you’re a real-life pilot. That sounds amazing and according to Jorg Neumann — the game’s boss — these incredibly immersive experiences will be available sooner rather than later.

It seems like a no-brainer to include VR support considering how immersive it would make an already detailed and beautiful flight simulation game. Although the technology won’t be available at launch, it should be available in time for the release of the HP Reverb G2 headset — according to Neumann.

This ultra-light, ultra-immersive headset is being developed from both Microsoft and Valve. It’s supposed to revolutionize VR headsets with its comfortable designs and advanced tracking. It definitely seems like the perfect system to utilize with Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Currently, there are no hard dates for when the G2 headset will be available. The only thing we have to go off of is a Fall 2020 window. Still, that gives us a better idea of when VR support could be available in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Hopefully, the team doesn’t face any major delays and this game has a smooth launch.
