On Friday, Kojima Productions sent out a tweet that suggests the studio is going to make an announcement next week, and most are predicting that the announcement will have something to do with a new Silent Hill game.

In the tweet, which can be seen below, the creators of Death Stranding apologized to everyone for being “silent” over the last few weeks. Of course, the use of the word silent is what has people thinking that the announcement will be something related to Silent Hill.

Shown in the tweet is Kojima Productions’ head of communications Aki Saito, who is holding a pyramid brand pencil, which some are thinking is a reference to Pyramid Head from the Silent Hill series.

As of right now, the Silent Hill IP is still owned by Konami, so unless Kojima has worked out some kind of deal with his former employer, it seems unlikely that the announcement will be related to a new Silent Hill game. But, as previously mentioned, the tweet and the photo shown in it seem to indicate something related to the series.

If it’s not a new Silent Hill, then the teased announcement could have something to do with Death Stranding heading to the PC, as Hideo Kojima’s latest project will be available for PC gamers this summer. But, with most hoping that the announcement will have something to do with a new game, a simple marketing push for Death Stranding coming to PC will likely disappoint a lot of people.

Another possibility for next week’s announcement could be a horror game, but not Silent Hill. Back in November, Hideo Kojima said that he’s getting ready to make the scariest horror game of all time, but he didn’t provide any further details on the project.

“As to make the scariest horror game, I’ll watch the scary movies in order to awaken my horror soul,” said Kojima while teasing what will likely be his next project. “The Eye is the Thai horror movie I rent when making PT but was too scary to finish watching. The package is scary so I rented the disc only. Will I be able to finish watching?”

Before leaving Konami, it looked like Kojima was on his way to making one of the scariest horror games of all time — PT, which was a playable teaser for a new Silent Hill game — but the project was scrapped after his departure from the company.
