Chapter 2 of the virtual reality game series The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, titled Retribution, will be available on a specific date. The news was shared on October 11 during the Meta Connect exhibition. VR adaptations of The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners have attempted to immerse players in the world of the comic book series, complete with all its zombies and moral dilemmas. At this time, a continuation is planned and imminent.

The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, released in 2020 to generally positive reviews, is often cited as a prime example of what virtual reality can achieve for gaming, with characteristics like a weapon weight framework that altered how players held specific firearms pointed out.

Although it has been known that The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution would be coming to PlayStation VR2, the PlayStation VR2 version of the game will not be published until 2019. In its place, it seems like the original PlayStation VR and Meta Quest 2 will take center stage this year.

As of December 1, 2022, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution will be available on the Meta Quest 2 and the original PlayStation VR. However, despite the PlayStation VR2’s confirmation, the system is not expected to be released until early 2023 at the earliest.

Therefore, the PlayStation VR2 version will likely l be released at about the same time. In addition, Sony stated earlier this year that there would be no backward compatibility between the PlayStation VR and the PlayStation VR 2, so fans who only own PS5s will have to wait till the PlayStation VR2 releases and also wait for the official release date of the PlayStation VR2 edition of the game.

Since the PlayStation VR2 has yet to be released and there were numerous game delays in 2022, including the push of Skull & Bones to March 2023, the release date for the VR2 version of the game likely was not announced.
