Rockstar Games has just bestowed upon its GTA Online player base some fresh weekly bonuses that seem to be all about the sumptuous superyacht lifestyle. Players can now enjoy double GTA$ and RP for the A Superyacht Life missions, along with a whole bunch of extra deals that make grinding easier.

Now that truly should have been a payday! But more money can never be bad, can it? Finish 3 Superyacht Life missions during the Weekly Challenge, and you land yourself a casual GTA$100,000! That’s a good couple of minutes spent in Los Santos indeed. But wait, this-payment-already-tripled on Taxi Work, and Tiny Racers apparently paid double yet again.

The community’s response has been…mixed. While the yacht missions seem to have really attached numerous players, especially those who plowed millions into the purchase of these floating mansions, the rest are calling this a “Big L week,” belaboring that the payouts just aren’t worth the grind. A disgruntled player even jokingly talked about running a “juicy lobby glitch” to deluge themselves in better cash elsewhere.

No GTA Online update is ever complete without some GTA 6 questions being popped in the replies. “Anything but GTA 6” seems to have become the running joke among fans who are frustrated that there has been no word about Rockstar’s next big thing. Some of the more bold ones are seriously considering going into Liberty City in the conduct of the yacht—now that would be something!

Of course, the Spanish-speaking lot couldn’t resist chiming in, with one player asking, in translation, “Everything very nice, but when is GTA 7 coming?” Now that’s getting way ahead of yourselves! Meanwhile, another was more concerned about when we would finally be seeing 3x payouts on hangar sales.

Some others also took the opportunity to vent about Rockstar’s monetary policy, one Portuguese-speaker remarking, translated: “Why is Rockstar Games so stingy? They hardly ever release free games, they limit payments in GTA Online with nerfs…” Oof, somebody’s had a bad experience with Shark Card prices back there.

The yacht missions, however, look quite fun – just the right thing for those who want to live a digital millionaire dream. Imagine cruising about in your multi-million-dollar floating palace, fulfilling missions that justify the purchase. That expensive status symbol from now on needs to actually do something more than just provide a platform to flex on other players.

In 2024, bonuses this week might just be worth it for all of you Still grinding. The 2x on Tiny Racers could be especially interesting if you really like arcade stuff. And triple cash on Taxi Work? That’s just enough to make driving NPCs around Los Santos a somewhat dependable source of income.

Not very flashy or enticing, but hey, it’s exorbitantly important that Rockstar keeps releasing weekly content for a 10-plus-year-old game. I cannot help but wonder, though – with all of these yacht missions and luxury updates, is this Rockstar sneaking us some…?

The GTA Online train keeps rolling, and whether you love it or hate it, you cannot deny that there remains one of the most active online communities. Just don’t expect everyone to be happy about it-the replies are brimming with players complaining about everything from payout rates to loading screens. Some things never change in Los Santos.
