A couple of new games just got added to this subscription service’s library, which should normally be considered an occasion for celebration… yet, the fans had a mixed-to-negative reception. The official GamePass account tweeted that two more games were unlocked on XGP Standard, in addition to another title via EA Play. Instead of hype in return, responses poured in asking for memes and tons of “where’s [insert game here]?”.

Let’s get into what is actually going down: Two new games are available to Game Pass Standard subscribers, and one for EA Play. The tweet gave no specifics and chaos erupted in the comments section. Some folks were not only asking what the games were; they were outright begging for their favorite to be added to the lineup. The prime possibilities were Overwatch, Left 4 Dead 2, Red Dead Redemption 2, and even EA Sports FC 25. Like, you seriously want EA FC 25 on Game Pass before it’s even out yet? Bold.

One Left 4 Dead 2 request, however, sounded passionate while pleading. GabiRPacheco pleaded, “Dude please add this game: Left 4 Dead 2,” a crying-emoji-worthy-of-emphasis. Maxpresteez pleaded also; “Please make l4d2 purchasable 🥹🙏.” Others, meanwhile, were pretty much confused as to why Battlefront 2 was currently trending(all supposedly because of TikTok memes? Classic).

That wasn’t an end, though. More roasts were coming for the new selection. Itsdeanman23 found the new batch boring asf and wants more car games; Arcadius said the entire lineup was absolute dogshit and Stalker 2. Oof. Chettlar also said that one Xbox port was very blurry while the PC version doesn’t get achievements, so this is not really a flawless victory here.

And the discourse on Game Pass Core (ex-Xbox Live Gold) rolls on. User pikam221 rants, “Y’all should lower the price of core tbh. Since y’all give like fuck all with it.” A user after says, “Like at least ps plus essentials gets games per month. What’s your excuse for not giving monthly games with core?” The struggle is real folks!

In between the madness, some moments of wholesomeness began to appear. JPIMP88 asks, “When was the last time someone said ‘I love you gamepass’ 💚,” to which GamingWithNuke terse returns, “We like games.” Onward.

So, what’s the hit? Xbox Game Pass remains a killer relation, but the fans are loud and thunderous for what they want next. Whether it be Overwatch, Left 4 Dead 2, or the mythical Battlefront 3 (spoiler: it ain’t happening), the demand is thunderous. Microsoft, if you are listening…throw these folks a bone, yeah? Or, at least, a less blurry port. What say you?

So, Game Pass Subscriber, go explore the two new games. And if you aren’t, well, then, wait. Or join in the chorus on Twitter begging for it. That (?) just might be the thing these days.
