If there ever was a perk for hacking, infiltration, and mayhem, Rockstar had just put it out for the GTA Online crowd. From double GTA$ and RP for the FIB Files Finales, including this week’s Priority File, to the $100,000 extra reward for players who complete three of said missions as the Weekly Challenge during the week, it surely is an opportunity difficult to miss.

Well, the announcement failed to halt fans who had growing demands for GTA 6 and gameplay trailer; some even tarnished Rockstar over the niggardly $100K. “What am I gonna do with 100K in GTA??” someone sniffed while another said, “Wow, that’ll buy me half a car.”

The impatience for GTA 6 resurfaced yet again as the comments started pouring in, pushing Rockstar, “Just drop GTA6 already,” and “Where’s Trailer 3??” Others went even further, concluding with, “It’s got to be trolldom on Rockstar’s part to update GTA Online and not show anything about the big bro sequel.”

Not all were toxic. Some appreciated the upgrades to the missions: “Awesome! I love this mission so much!” But most replies could be summarized as: “We don’t care, give us GTA 6.”

This clearly defines the split between the GTA Online die-hards and the set yearning for a fresh single-player experience: “Put more work into the single player—only the stupid play that online crap,” one GTA player said, while another went further and called on Rockstar to stop neglecting single-player content in favor of microtransaction updates.

Then there were the outliers. One requested Rockstar go back into developing a Micro Machines game while another warned, “Keep talking shit and the next one to be hacked is you. Again.”

The reactions are mixed; meanwhile, if you’re into cash-RP grind, it’s a goldmine. But in everyone’s mind is still the GTA 6 trailer.

At least for now, players might be trickling into GTA Online’s FIB Files missions to stack up some cashflow and maybe try to distract themselves from the endless wait for the next big Rockstar reveal. Or there is always the option to continue complaining on Twitter; in either case, Rockstar wouldn’t be bothered one bit.
