One of those mind-blowing moments; Ghost of Yotei is seriously slapping us hard with this main theme hype. Headphones-on, volume-up, maybe-even-wear-a-Ghost-mask-while-listening level good. That’s streaming right now, and if you have even a hint of interest in epic game music, you’ll soon be addicted.

So what’s all this about Ghost of Yotei? For those few who, perhaps, live under a rock (totally no judgment here), it hypes a forthcoming action-adventure game that is soon going to be released. It has all these scenes reminiscent of ancient Japan, samurai styles, and maybe heaps of sword fights. Makes one feel all badass even just watching. So, now? Well, the music speaks.

It’s grand then, in the title itself: so cinematic, that music that can make you want to charge into battle even if your biggest fight of the day, perhaps, is what you’re going to have for lunch. Strings, percussion, maybe even some traditional ones thrown in? Yeah, it’s got that chef’s kiss epicness.

Set yourself to put it into play right now at whatever site you go to (here’s some links in the tweet, now be free). And if you were me, you’d probably loop it five times before remembering there has been imaginary air-conducting in your room with an orchestra. No shame in that.

Now, here’s the deal-music made in a game? That’s real indeed. Such an awesome theme will keep a game alive in memory. Consider the entire Skyrim “Dragonborn” thing, or that epic chant from Halo. If this has to say anything from the main theme, Ghost of Yotei lyrically will be a game not only for the eyes but also for a kettle hat ear.

No one knows when the complete game will be released. However, if such music is out in the open, then I suppose that it won’t take so much time for us to receive all the rest. Until then, pump up that anthem, live like a wandering samurai, and avoid cutting your couch with an imaginary katana.

And, of course, since we’re talking about listening while wearing a Ghost mask… send pics. That’s a vibe.

So yes, now you listen. Why are you still reading this? Go. But seriously, it’s really good.
