Long and brutal do many winters seem, with the blizzard raging outside; but fortunately, today, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is officially out on PlayStation 5. The announcement came in the morning, and the fans simply followed the call and poured to find the nearest shops and lockers for their whips and fedoras. Ho Ho! No wait: pure Indy action.
The tweet from the official account was simple and yet worth the finesse: “Have you heard? #IndianaJones and the Great Circle is available now on PlayStation 5! Jump in today!” And honestly, that’s all we needed. No long trailer, no vague hints; just a blunt “go play.”
What makes this even odder, though, is that there were zero replies. Literally none. Usually, a game just drops like so, and Twitter floods with hot takes, memes, plus one or two rage posts regarding the pre-order bonuses. Not this time? Crickets. Maybe everyone is playing instead of tweeting. Or maybe the hype train derailed halfway through. Hard to know.
For all that we know, the game promises all the classic Indiana Jones: treasure hunting, ancient mysteries, and definitely a whole lot of running away from boulders. It’s been a while since we had a proper Indy game, and the hopes are sky-high. And with next-gen PS5 backing it, the visuals should be crisp enough to resemble dodging traps in the forgotten temple.
No word on how this one stacks against the rest of the action-adventure titles, but early snippets of gameplay are leaning heavily into all the exploring and puzzle-solving that made the flicks what they are. This certainly won’t be a simple shoot-’em-up-good, old-fashioned tomb raiding.
If you’ve been dying to whip something, this is your moment. The game is finally here, and so is the PS5. All that’s missing is you. Just remember to watch out for snakes.
And hey, if you jumped right in, smack them with some impressions. First impressions? Glitches? Easter eggs? The silence is deafening.
For now, it is time for us to dust off that fedora and get down to the dirty work. Adventure beckons.
