With an official tweet, drew out few nostalgia-inducing throwback images of some of the most popular Aeons of Final Fantasy X, and with that the bomb just exploded for all FF fans. The short tweet read as follows: “Here are some of the classic Aeons in @ finalfantasy X,” and there was a link to a gallery that dragged longtime players right back to those PS2 days.

Well, meanwhile, for the misfortunate, those summonable spells available to the player in battle were, what was it? Aeons? When summoned, all of them would add their own unique flare and attack-three spell names for them, like Hellfire for Ifrit or Megaflare for that Bahamut. And even worse, half the fun was in grinding to unlock them all.

It doesn’t had include a mind-blowing announcement or whatever remaster-news-yet-it has not stopped a hailstorm of replies from the fans in terms of memories flashback.

Some were shrieking at the maximum decibel levels of their favo-your summons; some debated with each other which summon had the most kickass overdrive animation.

Of course, the Valefor versus Yojimbo argument-returning, as no discussion about Final Fantasy X is complete without some guy arguing about which summon was less than prettily broken.

The Energy Ray of Valefor was clutch when early in the game, but let’s face it, the Zanmato of Yojimbo basically was a cheat code for anybody willing to toss around a bit of Gil.

No news about Final Fantasy X-3, but this tweet reminded us all why the summons of that game were so legendary-amazing designs, awesome animations, and just pure spectacle while watching Anima pulverize everything that lay in its path-that’s classic stuff right there that made FFX a classic.

He probably needs to get that thing back out or pop that HD remaster in if he’s pyshing nostalgia at this time. Seriously, though, once that battle music kicks in, 50 more hours will be spent grinding Blitzball and Sphere Grid.

And of course, if Square Enix is listening: how about a modern remake with even slicker Aeon cutscenes? Just saying.
