The newer skins from the Royale theme in Fortnite have held divergent opinions-ever so glad on one side, while absolutely roasting on the other. According to ShiinaBR-an Epic Games partner-the new cosmetics bear royal clothes, a stylish sword pickaxe, and more gold trimmings than any medieval-age king could have ever dreamed of. However, a great number of people just won’t seem to bow down to these digital monarchs.
Should anyone dare to purchase, the skins can be found in the Item Shop, allowing buyers to enter the “Shiina” code and support the creator; a wonderful way to put one’s money where the heart is. However, the drama is erupting in the replies. These very people are calling the designs “stunning” while one insulted that “female skin is a hooker from GTA.” Ouch! One user cracked a joke: “The only royalty I’ll ever be is in the Item Shop”—a perfect mood for the situation.
Now, about that Street Fighter thing! All the replies are screaming and, from where I stand, practically bitching about these highly anticipated skins not coming yet. One gamer laid it all out: “Boring skins. Where’s Street Fighter?!” Then another one added: “We wanted Street Fighter, we WANT Street Fighter skins,” as if a protest is about to gear outside Epic Headquarters. Meanwhile, another one tried to clench the dissent by stating in French that the Street Fighter skins are coming next week. So…wait for it?
Let’s get on with the designs. Some players want to lay their hands on them: “Massive W bundle,” one who was enjoying the sword pickaxe said, while others went on insultingly, “The girl is so ugly omg.” Another sighed, “Ugliest skin of this season.” Harsh, but hey, fashion is subjective, even in a battle royale.
There’s some weirdly-specific argument about if royalty even exists in the 21st century (One player saying “go back to Europe,” which…what?), while someone said the skins would look better in black than in pink. Oh, and somebody said the female skin “looks like a Trans,” which…okay, moving on.
Some players managed to give good feedback on things such as budget-planning for skins (shout-out to EthanMillerX2, apparently the Warren Buffett of V-Bucks). The rest is all love, hate, and desperate cries for Street Fighter. A normal Fortnite situation.
