For a long time, the fans have been asking for a visit to the Death Star in the game, and Epic Games finally announced that there is such an event in the pipeline. But this is not merely an opportunity to roam around. It is going to be a battle against Emperor Palpatine! Officially stated: “Board the Death Star as you take the fight to Emperor Palpatine on June 7.” Yes, you read that correctly. June 7 is surely going to make its mark in Fortnite history.
The news came through a tweet from @hartmann10803, and without adding too much drama, the Fortnite community is FREAKING OUT. The reactions went from loony hype to hilarious skepticism. One player, @billinator_1, may have summed it all up: “Well no shit we’re gonna enter it. How else are we gonna destroy it 💀?” Fair enough, man.
Moreover—the collab is not just another random one. After the Fracture event way back, this becomes the very first live event of its kind. Players have been starving for something huge, and it appears Epic really will deliver.
