A legit official rate per minute XP chart for the present season in Fortnite has just been released by Epic Games, and some tracks are truly carrying the others SIDEWAYS! The data comes from the very reliable leaker iFireMonkey and has triggered reaction all over the community of Fortnite players.
Without wasting a minute, the LEGO Fortnite styles have gone ahead and crushed it, granting 3,475 XP per minute in both the Odyssey and Brick Life forms. Poor Battle Royale rests within its distant domain, offering 550 XP per minute, barely 15 percent of what those blocky expeditions offer. The bar for disparity is something players would truly scratch their heads over almost as much as a Default Skin’s first try at building in their very first match.
UEFN/Creative Maps and the weirdly-and-incompletely-named “Mars” mode (AKA LEGO Fortnite Expeditions, according to DJBuchan, who assures us the renaming will happen) are comfy at 3,350 XP. Rocket Racing, though, is now stripped to the last bone, with multiple folks chiming in with per-race fixed rewards, not playtime XP: “Rocket racing completely gutted at this point lol” said KTenaka, and that’s exactly what I felt like expressing.
Reload Mode at 2,950 XP and OG Fortnite dilly-dallying at 650 XP is really what’s at the root here. Players are asking. “@iFireMonkey Why is reload so much XP wtf,” a great many people, including iGryphn, seemed to feel. Coco4294 put forth a reason: “Bc it has no story, weekly or milestone quests to help you level up so they kinda offset that with Playtime XP.” I guess that makes sense… but still hurts for the nostalgia buffs.
Competitive players, conversely, are eating good, with all Compete Tab tournaments boasting a crazy 4,300 XP per minute. It’s seven times more efficient than your regular BR; no wonder SeasonalXP lowkey told the players, “keep grinding buddy you got this,” in the replies.
And Save The World supporters were left hanging, with a bunch of users interrogating for the PvE mode rates only to receive silence as a response. Crush785’s “@iFireMonkey Bro hates stw 🥲” might be the most relatable one of the lot.
Now, XP caps were under hot discussion, with Genoz_Shift wondering about weekly limits. Coco4294 said it was “50 for everything except Creative and STW,” with those two having separate caps. Though zaccurtls claims to be level 93 “from majority leaving creative open,” so… maybe there have been changes to the caps?
Interspersing LEGO modes and Creative, AFK farmer’s ultimate dream: some serious progression can almost be gained it while idling. Gabrierruu, however, warned “@zero_pine @iFireMonkey i think if you don’t move your character in 10 minute or so, you’ll get kicked” – meaning: don’t get TOO comfortable just yet.
While minds are still processing these, one thing becomes obvious: Epic REALLY want the player base to jump into the newer modes. Whether it’s fun or a huge chase for XP, that remains to be seen. For now, though, it’s gained a strategic interest from the battle pass grind standpoint. Time to fire up those LEGO worlds and start pounding those big, juicy XP points!
