This season, bugs have been horrid for the Fortnite players, and one of the big gripes is about the Robin Cape Back Bling not unlocking properly. Well-known leaker iFireMonkey tweeted about it, stating that the Classic Colors for Robin’s Cape are not unlocking as they should, as they are meant to be unlocked immediately upon Battle Pass purchase.
Thereafter, the problem was first noticed by players such as @flint_on_x and @The_Outlaw_west. They confirmed that even though Page 1 claimed it was unlockable, it certainly isn’t available at the moment, while suspiciously enough, the Red Robin Cape, which should only unlock on Page 2, was masquerading as unlockable beforehand. So to put it simply, everything just stands in reverse.
If you had thought what with that it was all over, you were mistaken! Changes and glitches to cosmetics have been causing heavy headaches for the players. There are reports about Storm Beast style for Haylee Skye as well that claim it doesn’t unlock even after fulfilling all the requirements. While some are circumventing the problem with Haylee’s built-in emote, that hardly feels like a solution. Others report seeing things like a glider not showing up.
What gives? Well, leaks and speculating players say that the rollout of this season was not all due from the start. Prominent leaker @Loolo_WRLD even said that Epic Games had intended to launch the Battle Pass earlier, until it was upset by major leaks. This gave rise to the theory that the rushed timeline could be the cause for these bugs.
And are such things really unusual? Most of the time, Fortnite updates barely hit a snag. It is the leak, however, that makes the proverbial wrench fly in the works all of a sudden. There is a chance that, at the very last minute, the Battle Pass lineup was altered in an attempt to thwart the leaks. Possibly, it is this rearrangement that is behind the interruption that is being caused to certain cosmetics.
Meanwhile, the community is all stuck in limbo awaiting a fix. Epic has yet to officially acknowledge the problem with the Robin Cape, but with so many people complaining, it is doubtful they won’t patch it soon. So if you guys are grinding through Battle Pass while running into missing styles or locked items, you guys are not the ones.
On the side of leaks, it appears there are the remaining questions of where that Superman mythic went. It hasn’t made its presence known yet, but given how this season is going, anything is possible for what’s coming next.
And so, the new season of Fortnite is off to a rocky start. Bugs do occur, especially with big updates, but next on the block is hoping Epic sorts everything out sooner. Until then, make sure you account for an eyewitness among the Battle Pass rewards in case anything starts disappearing mid-game.
