Now stepping on, dear Fortnite muggles, into this Item Shop leak night, which is laden with heat-or at least some familiar faces! Players are promised a mixture of all-time greats and fresh faces, although the list itself is not appreciated by many.
Big-ticket item first: The Snoop Dogg Cadillac bundle is making its return! If you missed it before, that was fine enough. But as players point out, the car is currently in the shop, so this leak thing is quite possibly meaningless. Anyway, if you’ve been waiting to get that car, your time is now.
And then there’s Invincible…again. For, like, the third time this season. Some players are just outright tired of Omni-Man and friends hogging all the limelight. One says, “Dawg, I’m sick of seeing Invincible in the shop. I already own both waves 😭.” Epic needs to start mixing it up now; it is beginning to get old.
Alright, it’s not all recycled. According to the leaks, a new ICON Emotes tab is arriving with two dances, along with a Summer Shop area that will be carrying three items. Nothing on what they might be yet, though summer-themed skins or wraps remain a possibility. Then there is the Battle Ready set comprising four items-that can only be a military or tactical style for in-your-face flexing.
But that was the juicy bit? Street Fighter folk are beyond mad. No sign of Ryu, Chun-Li, and the gang, despite rumors and hopefuls. “All this stuff but no Street Fighter 🥹,” one player solemnly replied, and really, that is the mood. The collab is washed away into ghost town nowhere, and the players are now desperately calling for a return. Some keep hoping for a last-minute surprise drop tomorrow, but deep down, they know better.
The Family Guy leak seems to bring a single item-one can’t tell if it includes Peter Griffin chicken fighting or just a backbling.
Not a winning moment for everyone. “Same shit shop of every fcking month,” one player vented; really, it’s hard to argue when the Invincible and Snoop packages keep showing up like annoying surprise acts. Others want older skins like Ash or, well, Ciri and Yennefer from The Witcher, but that ain’t happening anytime soon.
So, what’s the conclusion? Well, for all those who crave those returning collabs and emotes, this shop is for you tonight. But if the rare drops actually fresh gave you chills, might be worth saving your V-Bucks a little longer.
Then at least this would be meme-worthy. It flares up the memories for most, at least mine, thanks to a player: “When you finally bought a 2000 V-Bucks skin but died on drop”. Relatable.
Basically, safe play by Epic Games, and some say lazy, concerning the rotation. So here’s to hoping next week gets a tad wild-or Street Fighter takes the spotlight!
