Time is running out, and a storm is brewing among the Dying Light community as the Beast will be unleashed on August 22. An ambiguous tease tipped off this newsletter of a lot of announcements, and hopeful gamers have already flooded the replies with extremely complicated questions. Physical copies, crossplay, free upgrades? Geez, the hype. Chaos does not have the time to stand still.
Physical releases come first in the big-ticket item. Players such as Evren and Dwayne begged for a disc release. An irate player simply wants to know if we will ever get any information about a physical release and said just, “PLEASE?!” Once the demand had been so loud, Techland has maintained their silence-a classic tease move. Then, from out of nowhere, Soumyadip threw down the ultimate gamer question: “If I buy Dying Light 2 Stay Human Reloaded, do I get The Beast for free?” Bruh. That’s the vibe that we’re on with.
Next in the list of dramas comes the crossplay discussion. Zephy wondered if the letter will divulge any details of the crossplay; ve had a few words on the chore scene: “Where’s the damn crossplay, you crap company?” (Obviously, that’s being translated.) The struggle is real; gamers just want to squad up irrespective of the console their friends are on. Will Techland tick that box? Well, the answer might just be in the letter…or it could just be stirring for more questions it all won.
Then, the good old classic preposterous demands. One stuff player wanted a “Be The Beast” mode-conceptually twisted-where you play as the monster. Another asked for hardcore survival mode, including eating and drinking-because obviously, dealing with zombies isn’t stressful enough. Then, the merch guy comes along: “Can we get a Dying Light shop? Need that Kyle Crane shirt.” Priorities, man.
The whole discussion about graphics? That exists too. A couple of players want to beg for a DL1 visual upgrade while The Beast is still waiting to be released. “Update DL1 graphics first, pls,” cried some players. Meanwhile, Alucard_ICGA came in with some shade aimed at DL2, asserting that The Beast is already looking “MUCH better.” Ouch.
The real kicker is the guy sending, “Can I get it for free?” with a link to a meme. There are some bold strategies. Let’s see if it pays off.
In any case, August 22 can be said to be an event the gaming world has been waiting for. Techland is already on their toes, be it physical copies, crossplay, or these players being allowed to raise hell in every bit with (or against) The Beast. And now, with “a lot of announcements” under wraps, the hype train just departed.
