Fortnite enthusiasts are excited as a new leak has given them a better glimpse of two Battle Pass skins-although reactions are varied. A tweet from the big-time leaker HYPEX showed a lady character probably with a gothic motif and her male counterpart-that is looking very slick in green. But the designs don’t have everyone so enamored, as some are accusing it of being uninspired. The others went overboard simping for these.
The leak came from elsewhere so let’s take a look at it again. The image purportedly shows two different hero-style skins (some eagle-eyed commenters are supposing it might be AI-upscaled). The female character allegedly gives major Harley-Quinn vibes, according to user ShadowDoom16, while the male skin has people calling him “Rizz daddy” (thanks, tallbttmmd). Of course, not everyone is impressed. Some, like onerandomshoe, straight-up called the designs “reused ideas” and declared that “hero seasons suck.”
The divide in reactions are really huge. On one side, you’ve got gamers like meowmi_illust who are freaking out on the goth girl, telling others “HOLY SHIT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR HER” in a post paired with a selfie comparison. Dusty77794417, meanwhile, is begging Epic to resurrect the weirder survey concepts, namely “slurp juice looking girl” or the fire guy. Then in the middle grounds stands a player like suckonmypump with just a “smash the girl is so bad” before bouncing.
Now for the real tea: some folks feel like these might be AI-assisted updates of prior survey leaks. SillyJakeMain also spotted weird upscaling in some parts of the image, especially in the eyes and hands, which gave him the impression it is not an official render. That hasn’t stopped some people from complimenting or trashing them anyway. Low_Key_Tony is campaigning for the rumored “fire girl and reboot guy” to drop next, while NextExOn just seems happy that an aesthetically impressive male skin has finally been unveiled.
So, when really are we going to see these? Still no official word. But in terms of having a purported hero theme for Season 4, that would mean that Epic is working on more comic-book-esque designs. And then let’s be honest, whether they are loved or hated, these will most certainly be Battle Pass grinds for the community.
Fortnite skin lore is defined above all by unpredictability. Replying, players were making fan fiction, roasting the color schemes (RIP green dude), and some just wished HYPEX a pleasant day. Quite the fortnite-ahem-cluster. Let’s just wait and see whether these skins will get through or Epic pulls yet another last-minute switch walz.
