The recent major news for Fallout enthusiasts: The Return of the show has been brought forth at an earlier date than expected, with Season 2 stating the month of December as its premiere. Then, Season 3 has already been given a green light by Amazon Studios, strongly indicative of the show’s massive success.

Needless to say, the announcement has gone viral among the fans, with reactions mixed although mostly hyped, some averring it to be the greatest video game adaptation ever (sorry, The Last of Us). On the flip side, there are those allegedly not very much into the first season, some even calling it “mid” or just too quirky for them. Well, I guess that’s what you have to expect these days.

One fan, @thelucasteam, commented how the news made him want to go replays of the games. I really do feel the same-The Fallout universe is just that addictive. Just thinking of the games: Fallout 3 Remastereders were mentioned in the comments, with some speculating for a drop in 2026 and capitalizing on the show’s hype. Bethesda, we’re watching you.

In contrast, some were really not celebrating: swore by some for going off on the original lore, while another just despised the feel of it. Well, that is quite typical for the wasteland-the shreps are very sharp, very divisive, and never predictable.

And then, there will be no long painful wait between seasons. Ahem-II-which is unlike Severance. Fallout will just shower you with content about this time next week. And since Walton Goggins is back as the Ghoul, S2 is really building.

So mark it in your calendar, vault dwellers: December cannot come faster. And if you haven’t seen Season 1 yet… what are you even doing? Go binge already. That hype train leaves from the station soon, and you’re surely not going to want to miss it.

Keep an eye out for a possible trailer at The Game Awards. ‘Cos you know Geoff’s got something coming for us. And pardon me while I go replay New Vegas for a 50th time. Just in case.
