Techland has gone evil and teased bait for dying-light islanders by announcing The Beast Deluxe Edition. It’s loaded with goodies: official soundtrack, exclusive prepper bundle, and then some. So, does it make any sense to pick this one? Let’s get into it.
First off, the Deluxe Edition is by far not your typical cash grab. Music lovers would really want to possess the soundtrack with vibes that truly hit after playing the game. The music has always been one of the newsworthy hits for Dying Light – crazy fun parkour escapes, and nail-biting zombie fights. So yeah-great value for anyone to own it.
Next comes the prepper bundle. The final details remain somewhat fuzzy, but the package promises some exclusive gear and outfits. One guy made a joke about needing a shirtless Kyle cosmetic-how could he not? Reactions to the original tweet were a wild mix of excitement and skepticism; some basically saw this Deluxe Edition as just another way to squeeze money out of unsuspecting fans. Gaming 2024, right?
Oh man, the replies were huge! Some went all the way, like @AggelosPras, calling Dying Light “one of the main reasons I love video games.” Then you had @thekillbot420, who dismissed it as a “bad sign” if only those who got the DLC are hyped. Classic gamer divide.
Physical copies are another highlight; several players are asking for a disc version; Techland will neither confirm nor deny to this. That hurts a bit, especially for collectors, but hey- maybe they will come through for us later. As does, those who already have the standard edition need not worry; there is an upgrade that will be coming after the admin rollout. So maybe don’t get caught in that, unless you’re itching for that vinyl.
The Deluxe Edition comes packed with this digital tourist map thing, which some fans found very amusing (very funny says @Miguel_Tavora), while others were wondering about and worrying for the prospects of a physical soundtrack release. Given how sick the music is, not asking for too much.
Then customization became a topic. One player (@IkeVolpe) wondered if the outfits were locked as full sets, or if they could be mix-and-matched. @Nocture4 explains: basically, both-the full outfits and individual pieces. Fashion-conscious survivors win.
Then there’s Roadhog. @TheOnlyAlanWake said it looks awful good if it is customizable just like the buggies of the last generation. We are definitely in for some wild rides if that’s the case.
And, of course, without any real marketing hype to Great Guesses, @SecretBeenis wonders bluntly whether it would hold some form of premium currency. With industry trend, it’s a fair question. But, for now, it’s Techland-told-nothin’ on the matter.
What matters is this: It looks really good for the hardcore. The question is if you’d want to pay a small extra to snag the soundtrack, exclusive gear, and that sick-ass prepper outfit. For all we know, any day now, Dying Light: The Beast will get launched into the abyss of heinously good parkour-fueled shenanigans. Now we just have to wait and see if it really lives up to the hype.
