With the words “judgement day” and an accompanying link, the DOOM Twitter just released another ambiguous tweet-is giving context to it or explaining it not DOOM-ish? That was all the hype, pure and unfiltered. As always, the DOOM fandom went collective crazy. Some come to rip and tear; some argue mechanics, and a few just “here for the chaos.”

In fact, I tell the tweet embodies DOOM energy, short to the point and just enough brutality to send fans hunting for answers. Media attached onto it might have been a teaser image or video which hasn’t been fully dissected, but it does not stop speculations. Could this be a new game? DLC? Another surprise update? Who knows? But the replies are a war zone-there are theories and hype and, of course, just the usual noise on the internet.

Yorch Torch Games has set fire to many a fans’ replies; they seem quite unhappy with what is going on with DOOM. Their tweet terming the new stuff as “lame and modern” opened the floodgates of responses.

Replying to them was User Ch1caNugg3ts with a ;green space marine, no reloads, heavy metal, and demon slaying chaos; list on how Doom still lives true to its roots. Things got heated up to the point where someone threatened to “send the bloat lord” after Yorch. Classic DOOM community.

From there we have the tech crowd. Red slayer and urbien18 are deep into specifics of PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) and whether or whether it doesn’t even matter if the game goes 120 FPS without it; other folks, meanwhile, like DansGaming, are already ready to “smash his stupid face with my shield.” That said, just your regular conventions of conduct for anyone with a DOOM title.

Now, of course, not everyone’s talking seriously. Pure vibes types are within the replies. BroBoss58 thought it was “badass”; TonyCorrea001 is “ready to rip and tear”; and Saul Goodman-yes, that one-on “w-What day?” because demon-slaying must have some place in the life of a lawyer.

And then there are the wildcards. Ludivina Olawale somehow turned the DOOM tweet into a shoutout for a trader of sorts named Ethan Carter? No idea how that connects, but hey, the internet is a weird place.

Flavoured with hype and a bit of chaos environment: lore? Tech? Pure entertainment? Watching doomboys squabble? This tweet had it all. Now, it’s just waiting for the next piece of info, which is pretty much standard practice because, as everyone knows, id loves to tease its fans.

So what comes next? More teases? Knowledge drop? Allegedly a shadow drop? Whatever it entails, the DOOM community will be there, ready with their keyboards, loaded with opinions, and shotguns fully upgraded. Judgement Day is upon us, and no one’s ready-but everybody is hyped.
