Xbox Game Pass is an amazing platform if you have an Xbox One. For a low monthly fee, you are granted access to an amazing collection of titles. Some are completely brand new and others are some of the best video games of the decade. The platform also updates its library on a frequent basis.
With new games comes several being rotated out. It’s happening again in a couple of weeks. This time, the beloved action RPG Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is being rotated out. So if you have yet to experience Adam Jensen, his bevy of augments, and a gripping story, now’s the time. The game really is a gem in a lot of ways.
One of the more standout aspects is Adam Jensen as the main protagonist. He’s back in action in this sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and in a lot of ways, is better than ever. Like its predecessor, this game explores the themes of robotic enhancements. Humans have gradually evolved through these augments, becoming faster and stronger.
Upgrading Jensen’s abilities throughout the story is still just as fun as it has ever been. Only this time, Jensen has hidden abilities deep within his software. The longer you play, the more secret abilities you’ll uncover. There are just so many skill trees to go down.
For instance, if you want to take a stealth-based approach to gameplay, there are plenty of augments that improve your hacking skills and ability to remain undetected. Or, you can beef up Jensen’s defenses and melee blows for a more up close and personal approach. The developer Eidos Montreal has given you plenty of ways to approach various situations.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided also does a great job at keeping you interested with the character dialogue. How you respond to various NPCs in the game can affect the story later on. The branching plot points thus keep you coming back and interested in finding out what happens.
The voice-acting is superb and so are the Prague environments that you’ll be exploring. With Cyberpunk 2077 rapidly approaching, there’s never been a better time to get familiar with these futuristic themes about augments. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided won’t be on the Xbox Game Pass platform for long. You can still have a great time even if you’re not that familiar with the Deus Ex series as a whole. It’s a true winner in every regard.
