A short teaser video for the so far unnamed armor line in Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate was released by Bungie, and the community is frothing at the mouth at the potential of this line. Destiny 2 Team spoke on Twitter for this indulgent relationship, disgorging video previews for the three new armor sets—one for each class—dripping mightily indeed.
Warlocks first: the Trials of Osiris armor is so near to space wizard fantasy. Hunters get to be sharp with their Crucible armor: actual “stab you in the back (literally).” But what one hopes eats the spotlight for the times are those Pinnacle Ops Titan armor sets with blades on the titan mark-because, you know, fashion does come with a little edge.
According to the tweet, it’s dated the release of the Pinnacle Ops armor far out on July 15, 2025, to put one in grind-mode early. Apart from this, the dev team says that mixing and matching this armor with what they already have is going to be chef’s kiss.
The comments section promptly got flooded with reactions from the players. Some, such as @SlyBlackHero, confessed that they usually don’t like Warlock armor but could definitely see the appeal for Hunter and Titan. Others, like @iiizwerg, were already planning their grind: “I’m gonna be grinding out these outfits! Love the sword details on the Titan.”
But the rest just said no. The Warlock set got trashed by @Elfviing, claiming that everything except the arms was “complete dogshit,” while @x_lilman_x was still trying to get over the Titan helmet having “cup holders” (okay, fair). Meanwhile, @DOOBiiOUS begged Bungie to stop putting “fanny packs and satchels” on armor, which… same.
This hype wasn’t just about looks. @Lastdragen_ and company were already questioning whether the Trials armor set would have bonuses, with @JoshM574 trying to figure out if Pinnacle Ops armor was separate from raid gear. (Spoiler: It is.) Then @CJN_TTV straight-up admitted, “It appears that I can’t read,” after failing to catch a juicy little detail in the original post, to which the Destiny 2 team very kindly reminded him that, yes, the blades are on the Titan Mark.
Naturally, no Destiny fashion reveal would be complete without the classic true endgame jokes and @iiizwerg surprisingly said the “true endgame 😎”-because let’s be frank: Looking good while vaporizing aliens is the ultimate agenda.
It’s less than two weeks until The Edge of Fate launch. The countdown is now officially on. Will these sets live up to the hype? A lot of grinding, and time, will tell. In the meantime, what is set to become known is that Destiny 2 fashion is going to get a lot more fun to deal with.
