One tweet and the Destiny 2 community goes crazy. Here comes a bomb dropped by the Community Manager, dmg04: kumpir was so cleanly arranged and straightforward that it demands a grand TWO-PAGE spread. No hoarding, no “maybe someday I will find use for this” type of weapons, just…dry-cleaned minimalism to the degree of horror.
The gamers went nuts. Some felt discomforted. Some called him casual (lol). And then there were those in panic: “HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT WITH SO MANY WHITE BORDERS??” Honestly, I feel the same.
But really, this stabs into much more than just the vault space. This is a whole vibe check. Some players are holding away at 700/700 slots as if it is some sort of badge of honor, while others like dmg04 are living the Marie Kondo life: “Does this gun spark joy? No? DELETE.” And then, you have the middling ones, like Mr_Blinx_, who find 200-250 “comfortable.” Respect.
Thereupon began the conspiracy theories. “Do you know something we don’t???” smirked RiaanStrydom12, most probably in a cold sweat over a possible meta-shift. And then started the comment invasion talking about “sunset weapons” and “timelost mag nerfs,” while everyone else started side-eyeing their vaults, and then, here came Dannythekid18- the obvious MVP, saying, “I doubt I’ll fill up the vault again with these ‘new weapons.'” Oof.
Then, the sentimental ones came through: LHowling1980 threw in “All the hard work and the memories. It’s all gone and good riddance.” Brutal. At the same time, Votrae was “crying in the bathtub” about dmg04’s previous empty vault pic. Mood.
And the real question is…why? Why clean it now? Could this be a hint? Is it some sort of flex? Cry for help, maybe? Or just a dude who hates clutter? We may never know. One thing is for sure- Destiny 2 players are heavily invested in their loot hoards. And judging by dmg04’s vault, probably time for the rest of us to shed that Y1 Better Devils roll.
Or, not. Because real talk- some of y’all would rather die than delete your Rampage/Kill Clip Wardens. And honestly? Valid.
Two freakin pages. Chaos ensued. The end.
