Update from Bend Studio for Days Gone on PC and PS5 remaster has been released, and the player reactions are, well, mixed: some are happy with the few fixes applied to the game, but MANY are still out there shouting for Days Gone 2. And honestly? Same here.

The patch notes answered tons of community feedback and general fixes for: tweaking horde behavior, supply boxes, and all sorts of annoying glitches cropping up in missions. In short, you can read the whole thing here on PC and here on PS5 if you want. But mostly, the most common question people scrolling past it want to know is if the game has gone perfect.

Spoiler: Nope.

Then, with the update online, new bug reports started pouring in immediately. One user CaliRED916 said in one comment: “Broken” after the patch, with a clip of a goofy physics glitch. Another user witnessed: weird flashing light on cutscenes and NPCs vanish randomly, so it wasn’t exactly the Z-plane experience everyone was hoping for.

That said, Bend Studio’s responses or lack of them hardly even matter anymore. What really matters now are the floods of comments demanding Days Gone 2. Almost every other reply in the comments is some version of “GIVE US THE SEQUEL.” The players are outright mental, and honestly, can you blame them? The first one did start on the wrong foot but has now gained a cult following, and the fans are begging for more.

Some gallows humor from the chaos:

– JUST GIVE US DAYS GONE 2, O’Brian has a lot to explain – Sander2408, speaking the truth.

– Still waiting for Days Gone 2–Born10000BC, representing thousands.

– Physical copy & Days Gone 2 plz–SpartanBoski keeping the dream alive.

Meanwhile, the Xbox crowd is just chilling there all like, “What about us?” SilentHomeRide asked for an Xbox version, only to be met by MickeyKnowledgy with “Buy a PlayStation or PC.” Ouch.

Then there are those who swear they actually like the update. Sandra Fikes (handle @phantascene) said she’s wanted to replay Days Gone and that this is a perfect time. Then there were those like Shawn E (handle @shawn_erdman), who in jest wished the fix for permadeath would come after they had to endure it.

However, the loud majority is not talking about the patch but what comes after. Bend Studio has yet to say a single word about anything for a sequel, but it sure is loud. Whether they are listening or not? That’s the real question.

Until then, enjoy Days Gone and may the update treat you better than it treated most of these players. And if you still yell for Days Gone 2… somebody might actually hear you.
