Bend Studio tweeted about someone who played Days Gone Remastered all weekend, and all the replies were just one chorus: WHERE IS DAYS GONE 2?? The original was a pretty plain tweet: just a guy grinding through zombie apocalypse, with a cute little Deacon gif looking extra intense. Players turned it into a perfect platform for barraging the devs for a sequel. I tell you-the vibes out there are pretty crazy.
Taking a look at the crazy love for Days Gone, SyberSensei said it best: “Just finished it all over again, such a great game. Now give us a sequel please!” Bear echoed this. He said,”We NEED Days Gone 2, I feel so empty now that I finished it. Theres nothing else quite like it ðŸ˜.” Ummm… mood?? The game kind of struck home with everyone, and the players were in all-out raving for some more wild open-world bike riding and horde-slaying madness. Then, Nathan jumped in as well, saying that he felt the first “wasn’t perfect” yet it “deserves a sequel.”
Others just could not vibe with the remaster-they had tales of bugs ruining their experience. RussSainter claimed to “can’t finish the game, the last mission bugged, half the caves won’t load in.” LfcAndPokes agreed: “If I could finish the last mission without the falling invisible floor would be nice.” Oof, ouch. Then Fly_on_the_wal1 posed a great question: “Do the remastered improvements follow thru to the PC version on Epic?” (Bend has yet to respond to this one, but it’s good to see it brought up.)
And then of course is the whole sordid tale around the physical release. MyThunderPants threw some shade: “I’d be playing too, if you finally released physical for it.” And Vic? What a champ: “I want to buy 8 copies and send some to my family overseas please.” Like… now that’s commitment. Bend, take notes-these guys want discs, not just downloads.
In short, a hurt longing for the sequel is what can be taken away from this. Midwest_ShyMatt did not beat around the bush, though: “Okay but what about Days Gone 2???” OdinGameslayer gave it a meme-addressing approach, posting a gif of someone dodging the question. Tizzle even called the game “ok” but decided against it with, “but that gif….” (Respect.)
And now come spicy remarks. zYx_ReBeL_xYz basically went for the controversial take: “Days Gone > The Last Of Us. Not even close.” Then itsjustneboxbox countered: “no… elden ring its better.” Chaos. Absolute chaos.
What is, however, clear is that there is basically-minded bunch of avid fans who will never let Bend forget about Days Gone. Regardless if they are begging for the sequel, complaining about bugs, or demanding physical copies, one thing is for sure-they are passionate about it. So… Bend, can you hear them? The players aren’t just asking-They are basically demanding. It’s to be given to the people, or at least they must acknowledge that invisible floor glitch. One way or another.
