Nintendo has not yet confirmed nor denied the existence of the new game. The trailer has been uploaded and removed by different channels on YouTube, but it’s unknown if the game will be released as scheduled.

From the trailer, the game looks similar to the other entries in the Cooking Mama series. Mama even wears the same clothing and has no change in appearance. There’s a possibility players can unlock new clothing for Mama, which is a feature that was included in later Cooking Mama games.

The leaked information states that there will be 90 recipes for players to master. There are a variety of dishes, such as Japanese recipes to more modern dishes. Cooking Mama will feature dishes from all over the world.

For the first time in the series, Cooking Mama: CookStar will have both traditional and vegetarian dishes such as “Burritos, Bibimbap, Bubble Tea, Baked Alaska, Poke Bowls, and much more.” There are also a few fantasy dishes like unicorn food.

In the game, players will follow Mama’s commands to prep and prepare dishes to perfection. There is a mix of traditional and motion controls that up to two players can play together. The game description from the video also states there will be a multiplayer and co-op mode.

For players already familiar with the game, there’s a Challenge Mode that makes gameplay even more difficult.

After their dishes are prepared, chefs can share their culinary creations on Facebook and Twitter.

The YouTube trailer ends with an image of the physical version of the game, which has an image of Mama taking a photo of a rainbow-colored cheese sandwich with her pink mobile phone.

The trailer also lists a website, but it only leads to a 404 page. The domain registration is all private for now as well.

Additional details for the game are still being kept secret for now.

Cooking Mama: CookStar is rumored for release on the Nintendo Switch in March 2020.
