Borderlands 3 has been a huge commercial success for Gearbox Software. They took the time to improve the series in all of the right departments, from the vault hunter selection to the limitless looting.
This RPG shooter just keeps getting better too thanks to the developer’s constant efforts to improve gameplay and bring forth additional content. A new patch just came out for the game a couple of days ago for all major platforms.
There are a lot of adjustments and content updates, with one of the most prominent being the continuation of the Loot the Universe event. It lets players farm for legendary weapons across the universe. Players have really gotten behind it because of the strategic advantage these weapons give them when taking down baddies.
It’s great to see it continue for a little while longer (until May 21). Along with legendary weapons, players can take this opportunity to collect shields, grenade mods, and all sorts of unique artifacts.
Some tweaks have also been made to the Mayhem mode, which gives players the chance to crank up the game’s difficulty for greater rewards. Now, this mode will treat players to rewards even after dying. Some of the loot drops have also been adjusted for select bosses, making this mode all the more pleasant to play.
There is a full list of patch notes on the official Borderlands 3 website for those who want to know all of the details. Some may seem minor, but as a collective, they really make this latest installment a better experience.
Gearbox Software deserves a lot of praise for continuing to improve various aspects of Borderlands 3. They won’t rest on their laurels despite how well this game does commercially. That’s always a mark of a passionate developer who will go above and beyond for the community.
If you haven’t had the chance to play Borderlands 3, you can expect these updates on a consistent basis. More DLC is probably on the way too as to give players more content and storylines to enjoy.
In terms of gameplay, environments, and loot, this franchise has never been better. That’s great news for those who want to see this series continue to thrive for the foreseeable future.
Even if this is your first experience with a Borderlands game, there is a lot to love and you can ease into the story and vault hunter classes at a pace you’re comfortable with.
