While Ubisoft wants to treat us with even more excellence in parkour, players remain impatient for the next big update. This tweet portrayed wild parkour skills with a link to Ropotopolous’ channel for inspiration. Conversely, the replies comprised a mix of hype, frustration, and confusion.

Let us set the ball rolling with the video. The parkour in Shadows is legendary, and Ropotopolous is basically the God of movement in the AC community. Viewing his videos is like watching a caffeinated ninja do backflips, wall runs, and transitions so fluidly that it makes all of us look like we are just learning to walk in our own feet. Ubisoft obviously knew this and kept him featured. People in the community, such as cameronstweet23, turned the tables onto Ubisoft, accusing them of always favoring the same creators rather than giving a chance to some fresh talent. Yikes.

Back to that thing: the players cannot stop talking about the time of the next update release. A gazillion replies just flatly ask: “When’s the June patch?” or “Where’s the next big update?” CaseyPayne23 went whole DHSC: “WHERE’S THE JUNE PATCH? Ffs man.” So yeah, patience is thin right now. ACN_Daily attempted to maintain the good vibes with a “Hope for the next update next week” tweet, but let’s face it—hope can only stand for so long before people side-eye Ubisoft’s timeline.

Then, the discourse over the game. Some, like Vicodin10_, are just calling it repetitive: “Never could finish this game. It’s all the same, hunt and kill some nobody with no story. Lame af.” Meanwhile, Kason_James13 has had half a lifetime to come up with a solution: “Ac franchise needs to copy Assassin’s Creed Unity, the full game, and then improve it from there.” Bold take, but hey, Unity parkour was chef’s kiss.

Then some usual randomness took its place. Someone actually tried to call the game “woke,” without a connotation attached, mind you! The better half would surely want to figure out how to replicate the backflip in-game. Ash_n_jokerr was all like, “Does anyone know what input I need to do for that backflip at 17 seconds? On PS5.” Classic gamer mentality: finds something cool, must be able to do it now.

Funny thing is TheRealZephryss calls Ropotopolous “The Parkour Legend,” to which Ubisoft responds, “The one and only!” So, the MVP is recognized to some extent. But down-to-earth talk: these players are craving more than hype–updates, fixes, and maybe a “Sell All” button (thanks, NathanRabbe).

So yes, Ubisoft parkour is selling, but the real question to be asked is: Where does the next update land? Will it be the glue to hold down this melting community? Only time will tell. Until then, we will continue smashing that replay button on Ropotopolous’ channel, pretending for a millisecond that we are half as good.
