The Zenith Sword is a Hardmode and post-Moon Lord level sword and generally considered to be one of the most powerful melee weapons in the game. But how do you craft this complicated sword?

You heard us right, there are 14 different swords you need to get your hands on before you can craft the Zenith Sword and it takes 10 separate crafting operations to get there.

Let’s start in order of game progression. The first key component of the Zenith sword in 1.4 isn’t some fancy item, it’s a simple Copper Shortsword. You can craft this at an anvil with 7 copper bars.

Next up are the Starfury and Enchanted Sword. The Starfury is found in floating Sky Island Skyware chests, whereas the Enchanted Sword is a rare world-gen drop found in a shrine. You can also find both these swords in fishing crates.

The Bee Keeper was also added into the crafting recipe as of 1.4.03 and is dropped by the Queen Bee Boss, found in the Jungle hive.

But this is where things start to get a bit more complicated. You’ll need to create the Night’s Edge from the Blade of Grass, the Muramasa, the Fiery Greatsword and either the Light’s Bane or Blood Butcherer.

Then you’ll need to combine the Night’s Edge with the Broken Hero Sword (dropped by Mothron as a rare drop) and the Excalibur (made from Hallowed bars) with the Broken Hero Sword to make the True Excalibur and True Night’s Edge.

This gives you the Terra Blade, the main base of the Zenith sword. Then you need to go on a boss-killing mission.

You need the Bee Keeper from the Queen Bee, the Seedler from Plantera, The Horseman’s Blade from the Pumpking, the Influx Waver from the Martian Saucer (only an 11% drop rate!) and lastly, the Star Wrath and Meowmere from the Moon Lord.

Lastly, you bring all the ingredients (most likely filling up your inventory at this point) and craft them on a Mythril or Orichalcum anvil. Simple, right?
